A suspected ritualist , name withheld has been nabbed in an estate in Amuwo-Odofin, Lagos State.
Early hours of Tuesday , 2nd July 2019 a young man was apprehended by security operatives and residents as he was about to flee with the dead body of his victim in corporation estate, Amuwo-Odofin.
According to our source, the young man killed the young lady and was about to flee with her body for rituals when he was caught. The incident happened at about 11:40pm Monday, 1st July 2019.
One of the neighbours heard the victim shout twice and alerted some residents whom the neighbour informed followed the neighbour to the house to know if the lady was OK.
All his effort to escape in the name of going to buy food outside proved abortive as he was asked to produce the girl first , he was asked to call the lady first then it proved abortive then he then said they had a misunderstanding and that she has switched off her phone , The suspect said he promised her 10k.
On getting to the house, the suspected ritualist didn’t want them to enter, but people insisted and the girl body was found.
On gaining access to the gate, Knife was found on the floor close to the gate were the lady was stabbed, dragged to the staircase and already covered with a rice sack.
He confessed that they are two and he was about leaving the estate to call the rest of his partner to come and carry body parts.
The Suspected ritualist was saved from the lynching of residents by the landlords and police and has been arrested.
