Two armed robbery suspects have been arrested for allegedly snatching a car using a toy gun at Ago-Okota area of Lagos State last weekend.
Detectives attached to Ago Okota division led by the Divisional Police Officer, Oyin Adamu, a Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP), arrested the suspects, Rasheed Yusuf and Chike Ayema, at the weekend.
The police team also recovered two guns and a Toyota Corolla car from the suspects
The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Chike Oti, alleged that Rasheed Yusuf had allegedly robbed Mrs. Rubbi Unikpe of her bag, phones and car at her shop along community road, off Ago Palace Way.
Oti said that on receipt of the information, the police team gave the hoodlums a hot chase.
He said the detectives eventually arrested the suspects and recovered the car and the Barreta pistol used for their operation.
“Chike Ayema was arrested using a toy gun to rob a woman at Ali-Dada junction Ago, Okota at about 9:00p.m. on Saturday July 28th 2018 ”
He noted that the suspects would be charged to court.
