An Avid Follower of #festaconline has reached out to us to narrate an ordeal in the community, Amuwo Odofin. We would be sharing this experience here on #festaconlinevoices to make people aware as well as inform residents.
Here is the recounted experience :
I live in Festac Town, Amuwo Odofin , Lagos State. This happened twice within two months. The First.
I was at Agboju , I crossed to get a Keke and there was a Gold coloured corolla that slowed down and beckoned on me.
I felt he needed directions, so he was asking for a clinic on second Avenue, Sidas Clinic and I’ve told him I’ve never heard of that ..
He offered to give me a lift but I declined due to negative experiences on the loose, I politely declined.
The Second
Just last week, after leaving INEC Office, I walked to Zenith on 2nd Avenue. So I was about crossing , I noticed a car was moving and the person tried to get my attention.
I realized it was the same person that stopped me sometime back. So i walked back to him and he was asking for the same clinic.
Hello I’m looking for Sidas clinic , I replied that there’s no such clinic on this road. Immediately I recognized that it was the same car and I knew it was same person.
So I started asking myself if it takes someone two months to look for one clinic on second avenue? Then I knew he was shady, so he said he doesn’t know but , he was holding a pamphlet .
I told him I know you , you have asked me this same question before. He then said oh yes when I saw you I knew your face was familiar that was why I called out to you . I replied sorry I don’t trust you,he drove away immediately and I walked to the ATM.
So I feel like it’s not coincidental for same person, same car , asking same question on the same road. So I don’t know what he’s out for .
Please kindly share this and help warn ladies especially , that’s what I feel. I don’t know if he’s a Ritualist or Kidnapper but I know his way is not pure. .
So I decided to share with #festaconline to warn people . .
