After a long controversial candidacy concerning the Labour Party Candidate representing the Amuwo-Odofin federal constituency for the House of Representatives, the Independent National Electoral Commission recently released an amended list of candidates contesting different positions in the 2023 general elections.

This amended list officially released over the weekend saw the enlistment of Mr. George Adegeye, popularly known as Omogeye as the official candidate representing the Labour party in the Amuwo-Odofin constituency.
Recall that there have been a lot of controversies going around as to his eligibility as a candidate as his name was not initially listed on the publicized INEC list on their website.

As of Saturday the 18th of February, 2023, a court order was released featuring names that were now officially eligible since the 22nd of December, and after a thorough look at the list, Adegeye George has officially verified a qualified candidate.
