Lagos State Fire service Gets Reinforced

The Lagos state governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on the 23rd of October 2022, in a bid to empower the Lagos State Fire Department, unveiled 62 brand new fire apparatus, consisting of fire trucks and support vehicles.

The announcement was preceded by a public show of the vehicles comprising of fire trucks and pick-ups, lined up in several parts of the Lagos metropolis, especially the Third Mainland Bridge.

The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service (LSFRS) has 635 (Six Hundred and Thirty-Five) Operational Staff including Non-Uniform Staff from various fields.

In the event of a fire crisis, the Service can be reached on their emergency number 767 or 112.
