JUST IN: Tanker Explosion Rocks Ojo Barracks

Early hours of Tuesday morning , October 2nd 2018, the entire community and Residents of Barracks, Ojo, Lagos, along the Lagos-Badagry express way are currently in shock following the tanker explosion that rocked the axis.

 

Festaconline gathered according to our source, that the inferno was  caused by an accident involving a fuel tanker plying the axis.

 

The tanker exploded after an accident caused by a dilapidated road at Barracks bus stop, Ojo, Lagos Mainland.

 

In the ensuing explosion, many cars driving along the axis at the time were razed.

Currently, no concrete record of damages and loss including lives have been ascertained and confirmed.

This sad inferno is the third major explosion that has rocked Lagos after the Festac Link bridge & the Otedola bridge explosions.

According to a report by Vanguard, the tanker fell as a result of the terrible state of the road and spilled its contents, resulting in the burning of no fewer than eight other vehicles plying the road at the same time.

Many commuters reportedly escaped the inferno by jumping out of their vehicles and it is unclear at the time of filing this report if there are any fatalities.

General Manager of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Adesina Tiamiyu, told Premium Times that no lives were lost in the accident.

“Three buses, one car, six trucks were affected. No life was lost nor injury sustained,” he said.
