Task Force Dislodges Roadside Sellers in Amuwo-Odofin

The Environment Department of Amuwo-Odofin Local Government on the 28th of June, set out on a sting operation to evict roadside sellers and illegal shanties along the roadside in Amuwo Odofin.

The task force officers claimed to move with a mandate to restore sanity to the environment, removing every illegal structure, and abandoned vehicles that may have been causing nuisance to the environment.

Roadside vendors were further warned to refrain from causing a nuisance as well as those living in illegal shanties.

The operation is said to be a part of the local government’s effort to maintain a clean and healthy environment for it’s residents, and has vowed to continue the operation to ensure a sustainable and clean environment for all.

Residents were also advised to always clear their drainage channels.
