With many fearing a two-week lockdown, most are preparing themselves for the worst and that includes months worth of toiletries and others.
Recall that this lockdown order was announced on 29th of March 2020 by Buhari to curb and stop further spread of the Covid-19 which has become a global Pandemic.

Concerns are growing about a coronavirus lockdown and how we’re all going to cope if we’re stuck at home.
While we’ll hopefully still be able to get to the shops, it would seem sensible to stock up on a few of the basics.
10 Must Have Items To Prepare For Lockdown In Lagos
Food
Please do ensure to stock up on essential food items and ingredients that you and your family would survive on during and post lockdown.
Food items such as Rice, beans, Garri, Onions, Yam, Noodles,Egg, Ogi, Butter, Tea, tomatoes, pepper, beverages, pasta, palm and vegetable oil, fish and beef.
For those scared of power supply, please stock up on canned foods.
Do not forget that some foods can spoil easily.
Toiletries
Essential and everyday toiletries such as Tissue Paper, Toothpaste, hand wash, sanitizer, cleaning items etc. should be purchased and stocked up at home.
Also for ladies menstrual pads are essential too

Funds
Cash at hand is very important. Its essential to have a substantial amount of funds this period to purchase essential items and urgent items in case the need may arise.
Also fund your ATM enabled accounts, for those who do not buy having cash at home to avoid being stranded during the lockdown.
Quick Tips: For those of us that have spare cash , do not forget those in need and those that might need a little support to also stockup.
Drinks
In situation as a pandemic lockdown, drinks are important especially water.
You can also stockup on Yogurt, coconut drinks, fruits for smoothies, Juices etc.
Fuel
Buy a certain reasonable amount of fuel but its not advisable to overstock this item so as to avoid any Fire incident or Explosions.
Quick Tips: Refill your gas, it wouldn’t be a good idea to run out of gas supply this period.
Kids
If you have children, please buy enough snacks and nibbles for them , procure baby food as well that would last for at least 14 days during the lockdown.
Tips: Do not forget to stockup on spices and condiments, this is the time to boost your immune system. Natural spices such as thyme, garlic, ginger, curry, cinnamon etc.
Meds
If you have recurring medications, do buy them as well and make sure you have enough during the lockdown period.
Refill your medications and those of your parents as well.
Also have cold and flu medication at hand, multivitamins to help boost your immunity, inhalers etc.
Also make sure you have number of your hospital or personal doctor at reach.
First Aid
This includes mentholated spirit, plasters, small and medium sterile gauze dressings, safety pins, disposable sterile gloves, Thermometer, pain killer, Face masks for emergency outing, etc.
Quick Tips: Do not forget to check expiry date of all products you purchase.
Water
Water is essential to life and most essential during a lock-down period, do make sure you buy sufficient quantity that would last you this period.
If you do not have running water, make quick provisions for that, we do not want you stranded this period.
Electricity
For those of you that are lucky to have prepaid meters, do buy enough units that can last you for at least a month. Its advisable to buy at least 300 Units.
