It was gory sight and a terrible way to jump-start 2025 as two men, names yet unconfirmed, were sent to their early graves in the Mile 2 axis of Amuwo-Odofin Local Government area.
According to the source, three persons were killed in a cult clash that lasted between Saturday, January 4, and Monday, January 6, 2025. This has left the Residents of Mile 2 Estate in the Amuwo-Odofin area of Lagos State worried for their safety.
The wahala started after a fracas broke out among some cult groups , Eiye, Aye, and Buccaneer cult members during the yearly carnival in the area.
It was reported that the situation became more intense when an Aye member, identified as Emma, was shot by suspected Eiye cult members. According to findings, so far, about four persons have been killed because of the incident. Allegedly, the two men were part of those who followed to kill the rivals group member.
On the night of the incident, at about 1:36am when the two men were killed at the Site 7 of Amuwo-Odofin Housing estate, rival cult members came for a revenge, located the two young men who were both inside a tricycle where they bid to sleep for the night, covered in a net.
The young men were popular in the axis , one was an ex tricycle chairman, while the other was said to be a friend to him from outside Lagos.
According to the guardian, a resident said that the cultists are allegedly children of landlords in the area and that their parents have failed to hand them over to the police despite repeated pleas.
the boys often threaten the peace of the area and go into hiding after committing heinous acts.
