To start the new year, there was a serious gridlock at the Apple Junction axis of Amuwo-Odofin.
The gridlock was caused by a lack of available road safety officers and security officers who would have controlled traffic and managed the rage of “happy persons” who caused serious chaos in that area.
Some individuals, mostly young guys with no shirts on , running around cars, some were seen with knockouts blowing them back to back.
According to our source, it was a scary scene , seeing unmarked and weird faces, mostly okada riders occupy the Apple Junction area.
Only a handful of officers were sighted but were not helping to create sanity and free flow of traffic .
A lot of cars kissed themselves while a truck was spotted non motionary with a large number of unidentified individuals having fun and happy about the new year.
Commuters we’re stranded as no sight of tricycles and the okada available were all parked and watching the funfare

I was on my way from church, and I took an okada en route to my house. The okada guys at Apple Junction were all on something, the over excitement was worrisome, the carelessness of the rider I took got me scared, we even hit a car and immediately I jumped down to avoid further complications whilst still trapped in the chaos.
Fred also reached out to us . He said, ” Please, where did all these people come from, a lot not on shirts, and they occupied the roundabout and even the Bus-Stop area. I had to quickly walk past through traffic jammed cars with my cousin to get home safely
