Mazi Comrade Leonard Ike Obasi JP aka Baba Leo, The Lagos State Ndigbo APC youth leader has acknowledged the accomodating gesture of the government and leaders of lagos state in accommodating the Ndigbo in the state.
According to him,
I wish to let my people know that what ever we get here in Lagos Is a Privilege and not a Right, due to the Progressive nature of Lagos state political trend since the inception of the 3rd Republic, our people have received a warmed hospitality, that has made most of igbo brothers and sister to grow and understand some dynamics in Nigeria politics.
Mazi Obasi also stated the fact that the Igbo in the state have been involved in the transition from every levels of the party dynamism in time past, and even have been given opportunity of elected councillors and vice Chairmen of local governments in Lagos of Igbo Extractions.
According to Mazi Comrade Leonard Ike Obasi, over 300 head teachers in both primary and secondary levels in lagos state consist of Igbo indigene.
Without forgetting the two term serving Commissioner Hon.Ben Akabuweze and also Special Advisers Hon.Joe Igbokwe to the Governor of Lagos state.
In the legislative and judiciary sector, Igbo indigene have been given opportunities to showcase their brilliancy in lawmaking and executing it, which no state in Nigeria have ever done across south west and Northern part of the country.
During the distribution of the COVID19 Palliatives, our amiable leaders were remembered, ndigbos were not left out from the palliatives distributed sent by both the state governor Babajide sanwo-olu and the party chairman Tunde Balogun. – Mazi Comrade Leonard Ike Obasi
The Ndigbos were not left out during the Sallah celebration as though most of our brothers are christians, we were not forgotten.
Mazi Comrade Leonard Ike Obasi reiterated that with the show of inclusiveness, APC leaders are greatful with the present without marginalization.
