The Festac Football tournament 10th Edition held on Tuesday 1st of October 2024 at the popular 23 Road Stone field sports venue in Festac Town, Amuwo-Odofin LGA.
The event witnessed by Honorable Pascal Izuchukwu Nwankwo, Chief Malaika(ọsẹ), Director of Flying Sports Academy, Marshal Mbre, Chairmen of some closes, road and block in Festac Town, It was a festival of football and colourful event, Dj Macino was in control of the sound.
The sponsor of the Festac Football tournament Street Soccer Chief Akalaka disclosed that it’s not only about competition for cash prices, the tournament has been designed to create a new standard in youth empowerment, human capital development and fostering teamwork, and social inclusion at the community level for individuals of all ages and backgrounds to come together, compete and connect.
Taking the bragging rights home is the 23Road/5th Avenue team who got the First Prize with Five Hundred Thousand Naira while 4th Avenue team bagged second position and a cash prize of Two Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira and Going home with the Third prize beating the other teams was the Agboju Team with a Hundred Thousand Naira
