The recent explosion at the Abule-ado axis of the Amuwo-Odofin LGA area of Lagos state has been a huge blow to the community.
The LGA Chairman, Valentine Buraimoh and Hon. Olusegun Idris , Vice Chairman Amuwo-Odofin LGA paid a visit to the victims.
The duo visited the Nigeria Navy Reference Hospital, Navy Town, Satellite , Amuwo-Odofin LGA where most of the victims of the Abule-ado explosion were being treated and recuperating.
The executives of the LGA were warmly received by Commander A. O. Aliyu of the Navy Hospital.
Before proceeding to see the victims, the Commander revealed to the LG Executives that the conditions of the seven patients still under admission is considered to be stable and responding to treatment.
He also made a request that the government should kindly facilitate the rehabilitation of the road that leads to the hospital to allow easy access for patients.
Buraimoh thanked the management of the hospital for the spirited role played to victims involved in the Abule-Ado explosion saga.
“We salute your commitment to saving lives” the Mayor explained.
During the visit, one of the victims revealed how he was acquinted with the LG Chairman and in his words, he said “I know you sir, you were a special guest on Invitation by Veleta Wine at our court engagement ceremony at the council secretariat”
Before leaving the victims, the LG Chairman pledged an undisclosed financial assistant to meet basic needs as the victims recuperate speedily.
