After a harrowing Nine Months of painful commuting in the Second Avenue axis of Festac Town, One of the major roads that were blocked has been reopened to commuters.
Recall that Last year August, a major part of the second avenue road in the Festac town axis of Amuwo-Odofin was cordoned off by the Police authorities.
The road cordoned off was the road that housed both the divisional and area police commands.
Residents had lamented for a long time about the reopening of the road which had caused hardship by forcing residents to ply one-way on a road that was already badly damaged.
Joy Sherrif, a resident of 3rd Avenue spoke to Festaconline and said she at least can heave a sigh of relief when passing that axis even though the other lane has not been rehabilitated.
Mustapha, a trader that usually commutes through Festac said that it was always a nightmare for him to pass that road that he had always to climb the culvert to pass the one-way that was left available for commuters and residents.
While the residents wait on rehabilitation works to be done on second avenue road, a major road in the Festac axis, they can now pass the formerly cordoned road freely.
Have you passed there lately?
Finally!!
