Residents of Festac Town as well as commuters have been facing an increased level of Traffic within the estate for more than Four days and counting.
This is owning to the fact that a major part of the 2nd avenue road had been cordoned off, starting from the 21 road junction to the 3rd avenue junction, Festac Town making commuting stressful with the Festac Town estate, Amuwo-Odofin.
According to information gathered by Festaconline Media, the road was blocked off by the Police force. While some business owners in the axis say they do not know exactly why it was blocked, Festaconline spoke to a police officer who just said it was for security reasons.
Another source said that it was a ripple effect of the fracas between the Police and Soldiers at the Tradefair axis that led to a loss of an inspector.
While we got hind of a potential security breach in the Amuwo and Ojo LGA of Lagos state by strange elements of destruction.
We advice everyone to be on red alert and if you suspect any strange group of people or gathering please report to security operatives.
Efforts to reach the appropriate authorities seemed abortive at the time of filing this report
