International Youth day was celebrated globally and Amuwo-Odofin wasn’t left out.
The National youth council, Amuwo-Odofin chapter hosted a special celebration at the local government secretariat, Festac Town.
Attending and gracing the event were youths, stakeholders and the executive chairman, Valentine Buraimoh who was the special guest of honor, former youth leader of Lagos State, Barrister Layi Oba, Comr. Gbenga Nathaniel Akinbinu (GNA) – Chairman National Youth Council of Nigeria Amuwo Odofin chapter.
Addressing the youths, the chairman charged the youths on a paradigm shift.
He said they must begin to act like the nation builder that they are supposed to be. Taking responsibility rather than waiting on people or government for survival.
Also present was Dr. Ayodele Shotunde ,the keynote speaker of the event.
He highlighted the pragmatic steps expedient of youths if they are serious on making impacts in their immediate community.
The program climaxed with the unveiling of an official website for the youth council in Amuwo-Odofin
