As the 2023 election draws very near, in order to allow our community and its residents to make informed decisions, Festaconline Media presents a series, 3 Minutes with the candidates where you get to know briefly those who intend to represent us in the forthcoming elections.
My name is Emmanuel Alaba Davies , I am the peoples Democratic Party candidate for Lagos state house of Assembly, Amuwo Constituency 1.
Why should you be voted for ?
Because I believe in the people, I am a people oriented person, I am a trained Business administrator, an entrepreneur of repute and a gentleman with welfare of our people as a priority even before joining participatory politics.
I have trained over 500 people and I believe in the growth of youths and the elderly ones who are willing to grow with me .
Righteousness exalts a nation when the righteous reign the people will rejoice. I believe in people you see we have a lot of able-bodied young men and women in our community, they need to employable and the only way we can make them employable is to instill some trainings and beliefs that they will understand, that will enable them to take that giant strides, is just information required
But let go straight to the duties and roles of a legislator in a state, they enact laws , they review laws, they interface between the government and the public, they are the ones that appropriate the budget of Lagos state
During the interface or public hearing with the people of Amuwo Odofin we will be able gather information and also tell the people of Amuwo Odofin what we can do to reduce their pains .
One thing missing in Amuwo?
General hospital I will facilitate a motion that will provide us one. Another thing is the bad roads.
If you look around our neighborhood, you will find out that, when ever there’s heavy downpour, there is always floods everywhere and cars cannot drive, it’s only when you have higher vehicles like trucks and SUVs that can ply the the road’s.
If you look closely at the drainages around us too they are all blocked they needed to be evacuated and carted.
We have bad roads here and there in festac but what they do is little patching that cannot last longer, what we need is full road resurfacing and construction and our state can afford it, we have the money in Lagos.
What would you do when voted in ?
By the special grace of God when we are in office, during the appropriation of the budget of Lagos state , I will make sure that the community leaders, elders and the youth in the environment are involved in the developmental plans of Amuwo-Odofin

Amuwo-Odofin is a cosmopolitan local government where we have people from different works of life, we are liberal people here and we need someone who can interface as a bridge builder.
