AmuwoRoadWorks: Relief in Sight as 32 Road Festac Nears Completion

Residents of Amuwo-Odofin may soon experience relief on 32 Road Stretch in Festac Town as rehabilitation works on the route appear to be entering a more advanced stage.

A recent visit by Festaconline media showed that paving stone installation is now underway on sections of the road, marking one of the most visible signs of progress since construction began.

The road, which had been in poor condition before rehabilitation commenced, has remained under construction for several months, affecting movement for motorists, residents and businesses within the area.

While the pace of work had previously attracted concerns from some road users, the latest developments suggest the project may be moving closer to completion.

For many residents who use the corridor daily, the sight of paving stones replacing the previously excavated sections of the road has sparked cautious optimism.

“At least we’re seeing something tangible now,” one resident told Festaconline during a visit to the area. “The work has taken time, but the road is beginning to look different.”

The ongoing project forms part of road improvement efforts across parts of Amuwo-Odofin, where several roads have undergone repairs and upgrades in recent months.

Although construction activities are still ongoing and the road is yet to be fully completed, residents say they are hopeful the remaining works will be concluded without further delays.

As the project progresses, road users are expected to continue experiencing some level of disruption, but many believe the temporary inconvenience will be worthwhile if the final outcome delivers a more durable and accessible road network.
