There has been a chaotic unrest in Amuwo-Odofin LGA , Lagos State as fracas erupted between Motorcycle riders popularly known as Okada riders and the Lagos state Task force officers.
Festaconline received reports earlier today at around 10am about Task force officers from Alausa who took a raid to second rainbow busstop, along Oshodi-Apapa expressway on Okada Riders.
A number of motorcycles were seized and in reaction to the action by the task force officers, according to information received, an Okada Rider was killed.
This led to anger and violence from okada riders, Who blocked and cordoned off the second rainbow axis by burning tyres and debris with no passage from vehicles and trucks.
The fracas extended to Apple junction as well , tyres have been burning on that axis too. Lastma officers and police officers at that axis were almost attacked and they ran for their lives.
The reaction has turned to a serious issue as the Okada riders are protesting against the seizure.
According to some witness, the Hausa okada riders are protesting with sticks, creating traffic and some axis no movement.
Apple junction has been blocked, Soldiers were spotted at second rainbow trying to calm the situation whilst movement still restricted and road is blocked with people.
As at this time of reporting, there is no movement from 2nd avenue inward 21 Road and from 31 road inward. Also Forte Oil filling station axis has also been blocked with boys holding dangerous weapons.
We also got unconfirmed reports that a Police man was also killed due to the reaction from the okada riders and some were beaten including the DPO.
