In preparedness towards the proposed 2021 LG Elections, the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) has commenced sensitization visits to various LGAs starting with the Amuwo-Odofin LG.
The visit which happened on the 6th July 2020 to the local government secretariat, Festac town, Amuwo-Odofin, Lagos state.
Part of the delegates who paid the visit to the LG Secretariat, Dr. Bunmi Omoseyindemi explained that the visit was to officially familiarize the chairman with the forth coming local government elections slated for 2021.
Also Dr Omoseyindemi while seeking cooperation in ensuring that LASEIC officers domiciled in the local government, particularly the resident electoral officer is given a conducive and convenient working environment to discharge their expected statutory obligations.
Among the delegation were, Dr. Bunmi Omoseyindemi, Olori Sekinat , Toyin Famakinwa- Tijani, Dr. Noah Lawal, Mr.Fasu Ayedun, Mrs. Simiat Bandele, Mr. Demola, Gbadegesin and Mr. Tope Ojo (PRO)
Engr. Dr Valentine Buraimoh thanked the team for eventually making the visit as proposed. He also applauded them for establishing the legality of a four-year tenure for LGs/LCDAs in Lagos State.
