Conference Of 377 Councillors In Lagos State Hosted In Amuwo-Odofin

On Friday, July 13th 2018, the Amuwo Odofin Local Government hosted the Conference of the 377 councillors in Lagos state.

 

The event held at the LG Council Secretariat, 41 Road Festac Town at the Henry Ajomale Multipurpose Hall .

The Conference Of 377 Councillors had in attendance the Executive Chairman of Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area, Valentine Buraimoh,  the Vice Chairman, Hon. Olusegun Idris,  all the leaders and members of the legislative arm of the 57 Local Governments and Local Council Development Areas in Lagos State.

Speaking at the event, Engr. Buraimoh heaped praises on the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode for redefining governance in the state.

” Let me state here categorically that there is no vacancy in the State House, Alausa Ikeja.  Ambode, has done extremely well in all sectors, hence the quantum of endorsement everywhere,” he noted. – Buraimoh

The Council Chief also eulogized the relationship between the legislative arm and Executive arm in each local government in Lagos State.

Somolu Councillors and Legislators at the Conference Of 377 Councillors

” The Councillors are the movers and shakers of grass-roots government. Any elected Chairman that wants to perform well must work with them.

Also during the Conference Of 377 Councillors,  the entire Lagos state councillors forum had a major move was held to endorse the current governor of Lagos state, Akinwunmi Ambode for second term.

According the council chairman,

” Today’s endorsement is the mother of all endorsements. Any other endorsement will follow suit.”

 Hon. Alimi Nurudeen, the  National president of Councillors and chairman of the Conference of the Councillors in Lagos State, stressed the need for all to work together in making sure Ambode’s re-election would be a walk over.

 

” We are here today to sound it clear that all the 377 COUNCILLORS are in full support of the developmental projects being executed by the Governor in all the 57 LGAs & LCDAs, hence the endorsement,” he averred.
