The Executive Chairman, Amuwo-Odofin Local Government, Engr. Valentine Buraimoh in celebrating the older people also known as the aged or elderly in Amuwo-Odofin LGA presented health monitors to aged participants as part of an event to celebrate them.
While addressing the elderly who participated in the event which took place in the multipurpose hall of the council secretariat, the council chairman thanked the elderly for how they have contributed to the development of society.
He also urged them to continue to make available for the younger generation the experience of wisdom gathered over the years so as to make an informed decision and live a flourishing life.
Aside that the sumptuous meal served to participants, the elderly also engaged in in-door games, and winners were presented with gifts.
The chairman of the group, thanked the council chairman for the show of love while inviting one of the aged women present to bless him in prayers.
