David’s Christian Centre (DCC) will host the fifth edition of its International Word of Faith Conference (IWOF) from July 7 to July 12, 2026, with one of the main venues located at the Victory Dome in Amuwo-Odofin
six-day conference is expected to attract thousands of worshippers, church leaders and guests from across Lagos for teachings centred on faith, hope, resilience and personal growth.
This year’s conference will hold simultaneously at the Victory Dome, Amuwo-Odofin, and the church’s Lekki centre on Elegushi Beach Road. Organisers say the dual-venue arrangement is intended to make the programme more accessible to participants across different parts of Lagos.
Speaking ahead of the event, Pastor Mark Akpaibor, Chaplain of Team Echo, said the conference is designed to encourage participants with practical and faith-based teachings that can help them navigate personal and economic challenges.
According to him, the annual gathering has grown beyond a traditional church programme into a platform focused on inspiring hope, building resilience and equipping people to overcome life’s obstacles.
The conference will feature teachings by Dr. Kingsley Okonkwo, Pastor Mildred Kingsley-Okonkwo, Pastor Poju Oyemade, Rev. Tokunbo Adejuwon, Rev. Peter Alabi and Pastor Innocent Tamunokubie.
Organisers say participants can expect sessions focused on faith, leadership, personal development and practical life principles.
The event also marks the beginning of activities leading to David’s Christian Centre’s 30th anniversary celebration in September. Planned anniversary activities include community outreach programmes, an anniversary conference, the Victory Games and other events commemorating the church’s three decades of ministry and community impact.
For residents of Amuwo-Odofin, the conference is expected to bring increased visitor activity around the Victory Dome throughout the week, particularly during major sessions.
