The operatives of the Area “E” Division, Festac of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested drug sellers in Amuwo-Odofin LGA, Lagos State.
The drug sellers were nabbed at the Dantata area, Mile 2 in Amuwo-Odofin LGA.
The Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, in a statement in Sunday said they recovered Indian hemp and other illicit substances.
He disclosed that the police had been intimated of the suspects’ activities. In a brazen manner, they openly displayed drugs for sale around the area.
Acting on a tip-off, policemen stormed the scene and apprehended Rabiu Mohammed. The suspect confessed that Sanni Audu was the major dealer/supplier.
Another operation busted Audu with weeds suspected to be Indian hemp and others.
The Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu has ordered that other members of the syndicate be tracked.
The CP boss also directed that the suspects be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, Yaba, for investigation and prosecution.
