This edition, we have a young man who was ‘unduly exthorted’ some sum of money by Lagos state traffic management staff.
Sharing his ordeal, he said
On this fateful day, at Apple Junction, I was going to festac from second Rainbow axis on 31st May 2023
I was on the right lane in apple junction waiting for the red lit to turn green, I umoved as the lit turn green but only for the lastma man to block the road saying that I didn’t move fast, they gathered me with police and took my vehicle to mazamaza and requested for 50k
But I wasn’t able to pay so they delayed me for 3hours and later requested to pay 11500, 1500# for gate fee.
I was extorted with any official penalty. I didn’t violate any traffic rules..
