The Rotary Club of Festac District 9110, marked and organized the 4th in its series of Free Medical Program with focus on Free Drugs for residents of Festac Town & other environs in Amuwo-Odofin Local Government area, Lagos State.
This initiative which held on Tuesday April 10, 2018 was collaborated with by the Office of the Councillor Representing ward K in Amuwo-Odofin Local Government Area for the Residents of its community.
This initiative was witnessed and gracefully attended by members of Rotary Club of Festac District 9110, the formal local government chairman Ayodele Adewale , other dignitaries in the community.
In his address, the councillor, Hon. Adewunmi confirmed that this was just the beginning of what to expect from his office as he promised to replicate more people-oriented programs every month. He assured the good people of ward K of good governance as promised in his manifesto.
While addressing the participants, he showered praises on the councillor for the splendid job he has been doing so far since assuming office especially in the aspect of health.
Comrade Ayodele Adewale took the invitees back to memory lane when health care delivery was free of charge under his dispensation as the local government boss. He also noted that women were not just delivered of their babies free of charge, the drugs administered to them were also available without making payment.
People should make sure they exercise on a daily basis because it makes the vital organs work effectively. If you do not have the time, then ensure you have a long walk and you sweat out- Comrade Ayodele Adewale
He strongly emphasized that individuals should ensure a constant checkup on their health as that will aid early detection of any disease resident in the body
