Nigerians have been advised to prepare for the worst as fuel scarcity looms, this was announced as The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria said the scarcity surfacing in Abuja is just the tip of the iceberg as Nigerians must prepare for the worst fuel crisis.
The Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDRPA) refusing to pay it’s members their outstanding bridging claims otherwise known as transportation claims, amounting to over #500 billion, has made many of it’s members fall out of business as they can not transport their commodities due to the high cost of diesel.
This failure to pay their outstanding claims for over 9 months put marketers in a situation where even if the commodity is available, it becomes difficult to get to supply the products nationwide.
