Lagosians Breakout In Protest

As has been seen over the weeks, the current situation of the country has forced the hands of its citizens to gather in their numbers and protest the hardship. Kano and Ibadan were one of the first states to start a protest.

Today, a number of Lagosians, including male and female from different works of life took to the streets, converging under the Ojuelegba bridge, voicing out their pain and frustration over the current economic challenges being faced in the country.

Lagosians finally had enough and therefore charged their emotions with chants of “enough is enough” and “we need change”, holding banners and placards demonstrating messages demanding government action to alleviate the economic burdens on the populace.

In response to the gathering, security agents were deployed to the scene to maintain peace and prevent any potential disruption of public order. Officers from the Nigeria Police Force were visible and strategically stationed around the perimeter of the protest area.
