In a bid to restore sanity, the Environmental Taskforce Committee in the Amuwo-Odofin LGA which consists of all security agencies, works & environment departments of the local government would commence a restoration and recovery work to recover all drainages whose manhole covers were missing.
Recall that most of the Manhole covers protecting the drains in the Festac Town Estate of the Amuwo-Odofin LGA have mostly been stolen, and removed by vandals and scavengers.
The task force team led by the Supervisor for Environment, Hon. Gbenga Nathaniel Akinbinu will commence this recovery project tagged OPERATION REPORT, RECOVER, AND REPLACE.
According to information, to also encourage information harvesting, a cash reward would be given to those who report and help recover these Manhole Covers.
