Macaulay, Olorunrinu, Buriamoh, Others at Annual Stakeholders Meeting In Amuwo

Communities across Lagos got the opportunity to interact with their representatives from the Lagos State House of Assembly through the Stakeholders meeting and Amuwo-Odofin wasnt left out.

The annual stakeholders meeting  took place on Wednesday September 12th 2019 at the Henry Ajomale Hall, of the Legislative building at the LG Secretariat, Amuwo-Odofin.

The meeting spearheaded by Hon. Mojisola Macaulay, Lagos State house of assembly representing Amuwo-odofin Constituency 1 aimed at tackling environmental degradation was themed “Environmental Challenges: Community Engagement to Facilitate Lasting Solution”,

It was fully-packed event as there were different activities including the popular Eyo play.

Gracing and present was the executive chairman Engr. Valentine Buraimoh, Hon Adegeye, Hon Dipo Olorunrinu, CAN Chairman, Shola Fakorede, FTRA President, APC women leader, Leader of the house, Hon Abimbola Oshodi, Councillors , Leaders and representatives from different associations, traditional rulers, community leaders, clerics, party leaders, elected and appointed public office holders, and residents of the constituency, all graced the event.

In his statement, he encouraged participants to take advantage of the platform such program provides to proffer lasting solutions to protecting our environment

Honourable Mojisola Macaulay while presenting her Keynote addressed, appealed to residents to stop indiscriminate dumping of refuse in public spaces.

Participants also asked salients questions on how she could use her office as member, Lagos State House of Assembly to push policies that will help protect the environment, of which one was the outright ban of Okada riders in Lagos.

Also the representative of the riverine area as led by one of its Paramount rulers, requested that the presence if LAWMA be felt in their communities so that they can also key into the environmental protection drive of the State.

The member representing, Lagos State House of Assembly member presented gifts to participants engaging raffle draw method.
