Residents of Abule-Ado and neighbouring communities gathered on Sunday, June 28, to celebrate the first coronation anniversary of the Alado of Abule-Ado Fabuwa, His Royal Majesty, Oba Dr. Sulaiman Surajudeen Adisa
The anniversary celebration, held at the Technical School in Abule-Ado, marked one year since the monarch ascended the throne of the traditional community.
The event attracted traditional leaders, community stakeholders, residents and well-wishers who came together to commemorate the milestone and celebrate the royal institution.
One of the major highlights of the celebration was a live performance by Fuji music icon King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal (K1 De Ultimate), who entertained guests during the anniversary event.

The occasion also featured goodwill messages and prayers for the continued peace, development and progress of the Abule-Ado Kingdom, with attendees expressing support for the monarch’s leadership and the preservation of Yoruba cultural heritage.
The first anniversary celebration provided an opportunity for members of the community to reflect on the role of traditional institutions in promoting unity, cultural identity and community development within Abule-Ado and the wider Amuwo-Odofin Local Government Area.
Traditional rulers continue to play important advisory and community-building roles across Lagos, often working alongside government authorities and community associations on issues affecting local residents.
