Residents Commuting Eased, As Blocked Road is Reopened in Festac

Goodnews, residents of the Festac Town Estate, Amuwo-Odofin LGA, Lagos State can now have an easier commuting experience.

Recall that Festaconline media reported the previous roadblock which lasted more than 12 days caused a major part of 2nd avenue from 21road junction to 3rd avenue junction to be inaccessible causing heavy traffic in and out of Festac.

The road blockage caused major traffic, making commuting difficult and even affected businesses in the cordoned off area.

There were various speculations about the real cause of the roadblock, some rumors were that it was blocked due to the fracas that happened at the Tradefair axis between the Police and Soldiers that cost a life of a Police Inspector

The road was blocked off by the police force in Festac town, as a matter of security reasons as we were told by a policeman seen at the point of blockage, after getting wind of a potential security breach in the Amuwo and Ojo LGA of Lagos state by strange elements of destruction.

As police officers mounted a checkpoint at the 3rd avenue junction during the nighttime.

Festaconline Media gathered that at the Late hours of the 17th of August 2022, the police officers finally opened up the blocked road and commuters are now able to ply the road with ease, thus eliminating the traffic congestion in Festac.
