Road Repairs in the Festac town area has commenced as the Amuwo Odofin Local Government on Monday flagged off repairs of some failed portions of roads in Festac Town and Mile 2.
The roads to be repaired include 1st Avenue, 2nd Avenue, 11, 31, 32 *roads, 4th avenue, 5th avenue, 51, 52 *roads, 7th/72, 3rd avenue, 21, 23 roads all in Festac Town and Mama J,/Aroso Market in Mile 2 area of the local government area.
According to the Executive Chairman of the local government Valentine Buraimoh while ”
the rehabilitation of the failed roads is in furtherance of the government commitment to make road rehabilitation and construction a top most priority, with a view to improving the security, social and economy of the community.
He also stated that he shared the pains and discomfort by residents, motorists, visitors alike before now.
“As a government, we feel your pains and discomfort before now but let me still appeal to you to remain steadfast during the rehabilitation of the 15 failed roads earmarked for repairs, as on the long run it would benefit all.”
