8th of May 2018 was a sad Tuesday in Mile 2 Estate, Amuwo Odofin area of Lagos State as one of the block of flats in the estate got damaged and several injured.
This incident happened at Zone G, Agidimo road, Mile 2 estate , due to the heavy rainfall and stormy wind that morning, the roof of one of the blocks got pulled off . This led to the roof falling on cables connected to the transformer pole .
The transformer pole then fell on residents who were purchasing food at the food vendors shop.
Several were injured and were rushed to St Richards hospital in the estate.
The cables were life tension wires , we are calling on IKEDC to take swift action to avoid further causalities.
