Widows in Amuwo Odofin got smiles on their faces as councillor ward k , Hon Ogunshina organised a widow welfare program for widows living within the community.
The program which is the second edition was put together in partnership with Green Carpet International Foundation held on the 21st of December 2018 at 311 Road, Festac Town.
Gracing the occasion were residents of the community, Comrade Ayodele, Hon Nwoye, Hon Mrs Mary Ogunshina, pastor Richard Minet, Dr.Mrs Chinyere Ogbonna, Amb.Buzopat, APC Party members in persons of Mr Tunde Onifade, Mr Dele Fason, Mrs Oluwkemi Aina , Mr Ibrahim Balogun,Mr Segun and many others.
Comrade Ayodele, who was the chairman of the occasion addressed the widows by reminding them that they are not alone as God is with them.
He noted that as widows, they have individual and collective responsibilities of taking note of changes or strange happenings within their community as they must also be security conscious at all times.
He further emphasised that they are an integral part of the society and should always participate actively in social activities and engage in business in order to allay any form of idleness
