Task Force Raids Amuwo, See Why

In a State-wide enforcement of removal of illegal structures on expressways by the Lagos State Monitoring Task Force, Mile-2 Expressway was not left behind

According to reports and authorities involved, this was carried out in line with the state government’s zero tolerance to the menace of street trading and illicit display of goods on walkways, kerbs, and rail tracks across the State.

Recall that in past weeks, the Task Force has carried out an extensive raid of recalcitrant street vendors across strategic areas and rail tracks in the Metropolis.

The evacuation was carrie dout on Thursday from Mile 2 axis and getting to First Gate axis that plays hosts to a large number of illegal structures that are used for commercial activities of which these structures were destroyed and burnt.

Apparently caught unawares, the affected traders were seen wailing and lamenting, some trying to see if they can recover few things while some were allegedly being beaten.

Did you witness this ? What are your thoughts ?
