It was a cold and black evening in the Jakande Estate axis of AMUWO-ODOFIN , Lagos state as a resident was killed by trailer.
A mother of 2 was brutally crushed to death at the durbar road area by trailer avoiding touts so as not to pay the monies they collect.
According to witness and sources, the lady who is a mother of two and an active resident in the axis was at the junction waiting to board a bike.
Unknowingly to her a trailer, who took a one-way route, put off his headlight was on top speed.
Sadly she walked into the trailer which crushed her to death dragging her some distance before stopping. Unfortunately she was dead and her body was mutilated.
Speaking to a resident,
This is highly unacceptable and intolerable, we are no longet safe due to these government empowered touts. Its condemnable , human lives must be prioritised above selfish financial gains.
The driver of the trailer escaped , It was a disheartening sight.
We are calling on the necessary authorities and the government to curb this excesses and give priority to lives of residents .
