A container trailer on the 12th of October 2023, crashed into the premises of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Kirikiri town damaging it’s fence, gate and culvert.
The trailer was reported to have a failed brake, However, eyewitnesses said the trailer was not moving at a high speed thus the result of impact was not heavy. The major damage encountered was as a result of the weight of the vehicle which made the fence collapse.
Also, it is said that there is a bonded terminal directly opposite which must have made the incident more unavoidable. Luckily, no life was lost during this accident.
