See Why Kiosks Were Demolished in Festac Town

It was a sad day and an unexpected one for traders at the 22 Road axis of Festac town as their make-shift shops were demolished.

This was due to an unfortunate and yet to be confirmed incident that happened at the FHA waterworks premises.

According to a source to Festaconline media, a yet to be unidentified person was found dead inside the water works premises.

Some persons around the premises said the individual committed suicide inside the premises and the dead body was found.

Another source , said that the individual committed suicide with sniper and orijin bitters which led to his death.

While another source said that the person was just found dead inside the premises in the morning.

This incident led to express order from the federal housing authority, FHA Abuja for all shops, petty traders surrounding around the premises and environment to be demolished and traders to vacate the location.

The affected traders were given express notice to leave the axis but they didn’t bulge.

Few days after, On Thursday morning, all the shops were demolished around the premises, Also trees were also seen being  cut off.

No confirmation yet if the person was killed and dumped there or was killed there or even committed suicide there.

Attempts to reach out to the FHA Authority seemed futile.

Further investigation is currently being carried out by the appropriate authorities to ascertain the real cause of the incident.
